Kevin - Sapiens is an Israeli company.
Shorts can not be prevented from selling short, if others hold shares long term. If you hold your shares on street name (not actual stock certificate) shorts can borrow your shares from your broker and sell them. If you try to sell your shares, your broker will get the borrowed shares replaced and complete the trade. Ram

Year 2000 Double Check

From the Aug. 3, 1998 issue of Information Week magazine, p. 71:

The U.S. Postal Service has awarded contracts to Unisys Corp.
and SRA International Inc. for year 2000 verification and
validation services. The two $10 million contracts cover
information, mail-processing, and other systems.

SRA and Unisys already handle year 2000 assessment and
remediation work for the Postal Service.
"With the new contracts, SRA will do the verification and
validation for the systems that Unisys does remediation
work on, and vice-versa," says Michael Celentano,
purchasing specialist for the Postal Service.

Verification and validation work is a growing segment of the
year 2000 services market, says John Logan, chairman of the
Aberdeen Group, in part because "senior management isn't
sure whether they can rely on their IS departments."
