Good point seems the idea is to wait till october to make the decision
giving September a run time this could be quite the opportunity.

As at May 31 the company had working capital of $6.9 million. During the 1998 field season to may 31 they have spent $1.421 million on SVB. Presumably they have spent $3 million or so since then so the working cap position may be around $3 million. Results to date have not been encouraging. The first phase was budgeted at $9.2 million but that amount was never raised. The second phase is for an additional $5.6 million which is contingent on phase I results. It appears that only part of the money is in place to complete phase I and none of the money to do phase II is in place. The hiatus may be driven by this. The company may have to be very selective in its next targets as continued lack of success will mean financing will be difficult. All of the options and warrants outstanding are currently out of the money. As of May 31 Donner had 31,689,657 shares issued. Market cap is still $12.7 million.

Unfortunately a proposed new slogan for the SVB play has already been scooped (but you can sub-in "SVB" for instances of "Wal Mart"):

Wal Mart Canada Officially Unveils New Slogan Across Canada:

WAL-MART STORES INC ("WMT-BHDNPQX") - Wal-Mart Canada officially unveiled a new company-wide marketing slogan across Canada: We Sell For Less Every Day.

The new slogan is designed to reinforce Wal-Mart's commitment to providing low prices 365 days of the year, on every piece of merchandise throughout the store -- without exception. The slogan replaces the line -- Better Every Day Low Prices -- that Wal-Mart Canada has used in its marketing vehicles since 1996.

"We Sell For Less Every Day is a very easy slogan for consumers to identify with," says Lou Puim, Director of Marketing for Wal-Mart Canada.

Hello John

There will only be a Phase II if they hit deep intersections of massive sulphides.

If or should I say when they do, believe me, there will be no problem finding backers. There will be a line up for the only BandWagon in town.

Right now though the market simply does not want to listen, and unless the PM of Japan gets off his proverbial a..s that economy will slide out of recession and into depression very easily.

Industrial commodity prices will only start to recover, hence the Canadian resource markets, when there are signals that the Japanese economy will start to turn around. A tax cut there would send such a signal to the market but I suspect at this point, more will be required. More time, more money and more growth.

I don't think all that is going to happen by September and US industrial inflation is not showing any signs of roaring so could be quiet resource markets this fall and through mid winter.

I do not agree with Elizabeth with regards to AU. There simply are not enough signs of inflation, central bank selling is still going on and India's consumption is temporarily restrained.
