For a quick look at the names of the owners of ATHM, see their
home page at athome.com (I think). TCI/Cox/Cablevision, etc.
For ownership info, exclusivity details, there is no substitute
for doing the research of reading the SEC Filings (the quarterly
and annual filings) at various Edgar web sites, such as freeedgar.com

These are boring big docs but full of detail that you need to know,
both your questions are answered there. TCI owns 40%, other cable
co's own less, in total these cable co's serve half of the
cable-wired homes in the US. Exclusively must use ATHM til some
date in 2002 (? - from memory). I expect they'll stay w/ ATHM
after that due to ATHM's expertise, their caching network (adds
great speed), their growing brand-name value, and their
agreements with many content providers, (Bloomberg financial news,
etc) - ie, they are becoming a portal site, like AOL provides for their current subscribers - lots of custom content. See today's news
release about ATHM and weather info, realtime radar images, etc.

Do the research of reading all the news releases you can find on
ATHM, start at dailystocks.com, enter ticker 'athm' and
you'll get links to everything relevant to stock research on ATHM,
one of the best web sites out there...
