MU sales to MUEI: this came up the other day so I checked up on it. MU sold $5.8 mil to MUEI last quarter, about 1.5% of MUEI's revenues, and in the past quarters it had been higher about 5%.
At a PC price of $1600 5% almost gets you 32MB of PC100 and 2% gets you about 32 MB of EDO.

Also from the latest 10Q:
In the third quarter of 1998, the Company's semiconductor memory operations
incurred an operating loss in excess of $150 million on net sales of $290
million, primarily due to continued sharp declines in average sales prices for
the Company's semiconductor memory products.

re: SamSung,

SamSung is the only one who can survive if only they give up a few
subsidiaries to merge with other semis in Korea. There's only so much
Korean government can force them to do. HyunDai did not want to give
up it's semi to SamSung, so they tried hard to have joint venture
with INTC. INTC turned it down flat. Knowing HD's chairman, he'll
give in soon to save it's auto and other subsidiaries.

Bipin told me this morning about MU. "Micron is a survival, like
cockroach - quickly adopt to it's environment and longest survival
on this earth."

re: Kurlak,

He cried for sox 200 for three, four times. Where are we now? 263.08
again. He called INTC 60 and MU 20. Today, INTC 87 & MU 35 again.
I like when he makes such calls, so I can sell more puts each time.

Hype or not from both bears and bulls, I don't want to fight with
market for market is always right. Good news is that I don't talk
to MU like Larry does yet. ^_^

Happy trading!
