say you need to sell those shares to cover a margin
call, or buy into a days better opportunity, so you
put in an early GTC sell order at a higher price.
In the last 10 minutes of the day, you make it a
market order, so it get's executed without moving
the stock since the MM's saw it on their screen
all day waiting to go off. Keep in mind that
$23,000 is very little money to daytraders.

128,000 shares might be strange on
this low volume day, but not 12,800.
