Katherine,

Re:And you're the one who chose to post and enthusiastically support the forecast

Actually, if you go and read my post, NO I didn't! I specifically said that IMO I did not see them hitting that number; it was only an assumption since we have so few peak estimates.

Katherine, you said >>equipment industry revenue growth in good years is in the 20-30% range.<<

That percentage applies between two "good" years, then. Do you
have any historic information about the increase from a bad year
into the future?

Re Canon's newly announced facility: is the development and
training center going to be similar to Applied's (also in
San Jose (?)).

>> Don't take it up with me, take it up with Lehman. They're the ones who came up
with the estimate<<

Katherine:<<And you're the one who chose to post and enthusiastically support the forecast, aren't you?>>

Yes, Katherine, and you are the one who chose to use your position in the industry as managing editor of Semiconductor On-line as validation of your investment outlook. Unfortunately, an intimate understanding of the inner workings of the technology industry does not necessarily lead to an accurate understanding of technology stock market investing. I would think your posts have probably caused more people to buy too late or sell too early than Brian's optimistic support for the Lehman's forecast could ever do. Jeff
