OK,
First you need a program to open Zip files, try Ezip at:
edisys.com

Once you open it and run the TweakDun install program with your modem connected to the internet. This will allow the TweakDun install program to update your Visual Basic files automatically as it install itself.

In the TweakDun readme files they suggest you back up your "registry" before making the change that will help your internet speed. See if you can figure this one out by reading the info.

Finally, when TweakDun is running, select Dial-Up Adapter software at the prompt. Then select 576 as your new value when you get to the main TweakDun program window. Then it should ask you to restart your computer.

Never mind. Try what R Stevens suggested first.

RE: MTU adjustment...Here is another software product that is also supposed to do the same thing. You might review this web sight and see if this one looks better for making the adjustment.

Finally, this was changed in Window 98 and is one of the changes you pay for if you upgrade to 98.
