I think Royce's FUND is a good one too, Bonnie -- esp. given the beating that overseas markets have taken.

Bonnie, I like REITs, and see real estate as the hedge against inflation that gold used to be. I don't do much individual picking in them though, I just keep buyin VGSIX in the IRA.

Thanks for the RVT suggestion, Royce is one that had slipped my mind as a possibility.
