Like everything in politics, its a game of give and take. So it depends on who wants UCC bad enough and what they are willing to give up for it.

Personally I dont see what any politician would personally gain (yes I do believ that majority of them do everything for selfish reasons only) by passing UCC. So the chances of it being approved are remote.

I do see the BJP wanting to get UCC so as to make it 1 nation 1 law (do actually that the current Prime minister is a selfless man - till power corrupts him) but not at the costs being imposed on them for this passage.

Implementation is a long term affair. And may even take a new generation. Just like the constitution, it lays teh foundation to be strengthened over generations.
