Zolt, That is the lesson of history. History also tells us that the NRA is right in pointing out that authoritarian and totalitarian regimes always secure strict gun control at their incipience. One of the first things Hitler did was confiscate all guns from the population. Also, the streets of the communist countries were always considered safer than US streets. As opposed to open societies, oppressive governments feature "criminals" in the government who are deemed above the law. Of course, they have guns legally, but the right of gun ownership is denied to the population. The Clintonistas would like nothing better than for the american citizenry to disarm. Already, the US military is preparing for "political" disturbances in american cities. (Joseph Farah reported this about 10 days ago.) This started under Clinton. WHY???? Darrell
