tippet: I don't think the microcap 50 is very representative. There's a lot of REITs, banks and utilities, as well as small cyclicals, and lots of techs, that fall into the microcap sector: something like 8000 stocks. So what happens in the microcap sector is a realistic view of what is happening to the economy, as viewed by the Russell index. Not a pretty sight to see what has happened to the Russell.
