Weren't you addressing inventory issues and analysts? What has DEC to do with that? TTFN, CTC

The acquisition of DEC will be a colossal cultural integration challenge and will probably have a substantial de-focusing effect...it may look good on paper, but the successful execution is far from assured. Coincidentally, CPQ also now trying to be all things to all people, while Dell is focused on executing specific business growth strategies in high-end PC's, servers & storage. Therein lies the difference in the successful model...focus vs. shotgun..IMHO.
