In earlier article on thread, "...last 100 SAP installations were 8 months long." Obviously, you've got some really old information.

Also, I see you like zero coupon bonds. With Warren Buffet's signal that interest rates will rise(..he just bailed out), please recognize that 30-year zero's will depreciate 32% for every 1% rise in interest rates. Consult any bond calculator to confirm.

We have less than 18 months until the millenium. If I were still an MIS Director I'd be VERY reluctant to take this on if I wasn't sure I could finish it by then.

So, if you were an MIS guy, you would just let your company crumble from the Y2K bug, or maybe spend a bunch of money on a temporary fix, only to spend a ton more on the SAP implementation? Regardless, this just goes to show you that ERP is not something that just lives off of the Y2K bug....
