Thanks for the article. Things are beginning to show signs of life in theis sector Regardless of what the Bears will say. CPQ sees strong European sales in 2H98 and dataquest reports PC sales jumped 19.5% in Q2. DRAM prices have been stabilizing. Fabs are closing, briniging us closer to a DRAM equilibrium. INTC sees heavy demand for its high-end chips; shortages in fact! CPQ has worked their inventory down to 2 weeks. We've already gone through painful period of layoffs in the equipment industry. This is the scenario that the Bears were talking about last October before they'd turn Bullish. Still, they want more blood. Sickos! :-J
