The drug is still several years away from development. The company will require several hundred millions to develop the drug. Thus it will need a partner like Merck. The report does not mention that outside independent parties have reviewed the research. I will wait until the results are reviewed by independent medical experts before I get too excited. I am still very concerned that the company did not proceed with the equity offering. I hope it wasn't because the brokerage firm could not persuade anyone to buy the shares.
