HDD industry may be recovering, but RDRT to have more troubles near term. RDRT lost Quantum and WDC accounts. They lost Quantum and to Japanese companies such as TDK/Yamaha/Alps. READRIT to reduce their capacity and operation by 30%. They even are going to close some of the buildings in Milpitas, CA this month. Further layoff is expected. These rumors are widely spread in Bay Area. READRITE has Maxtor and Samsung accounts. But they are small players in HDD, not enough to fill RDRT's capacity. Seagate does not use READRITE heads. If you are willing to take risk, you may be reward later. But clearly, READRITE has more trouble ahead. Worst is not over yet.

Larry,

Re:I believe this is being driven not only by particular suppliers exiting (TI ,
Siemens), but by an INCREASE IN DEMAND in the PC sector.

Hope we are turning a corner....
