Predicting the obvious??? I've ready so many posts that predict that CMGI will drop hard or drift down after the GCTY IPO. It makes sense in a way, but CMGI is a very tough to predict baby. Lots of people thought it would be going up last week and earlier this week in anticipation of the IPO and it didn't, until the last couple of days. Many other people were sure it couldn't keep going up the way it had in the past and sold only to watch it keep heading skyward and leaving them wishing that they hadn't sold. My point is if every one is so convinced that the movement of the stock at some future point is "obvious", then the stock may very well do exactly the opposite of what folks think it will. CMGI is still a little known stock, I think, but if the GCTY IPO is a big success, then many more people will learn about CMGI, and that could lift the price steadily for a long time. The only successful predictions that I've seen for CMGI are that over time (in the longer term) it will go up substantially. Any comments?
