Here's what Yahoo's have to say:
Rumour? What rumour by SelfArrest

RDIMS is the name of the govt initiative, which ties together Document Management (PCDOCS), Workflow (Action Technologies), Imaging (was Watermark, now?), Records Management (was PSI, now/still?) together as asuite of products to work together.

This "deal" has been going on for ever and a day, but rumour is that it may be nearing getting signed.

The value of the deal over time might be high, and perhaps the stock might blip for awhile. Remains to be seen how much immediate revenue is generated from it.

Implementing this type of software takes time. Unless the Canadian Govt wants a bunch of "shelfware", they aren't going to pre-purchase huge lots of product.

Then again, look at their dollar! Who knows what they might do.

This deal was initially won by a Can integrator who spent the big-bucks. But when the deal was finally offered, the purchase pace was very incremental. Something like 200 seats in the first year. Then growing, growing...

The integrator that won the deal got pissed and walked away I was told.

A new integrator now has the deal, with a new RMA vendor Provanonce. I do not know if the small initial purchase commitment issue has been resolved, but I doubt it.

This does not mean that this deal is not worth 100mm, but like Zapa said, I would not go out day-trade the stock on it. The real value here is the indication that Docs, product and price point, can win big long term customers in todays market.

I knew they backed out, figured it was a negotiation ploy. They have much other business to think about in Canadian Govt, so perhaps that is all there is to the story. Still, seems to me that after all the effort, time and expense, they would find a way through to making the deal work.

Re Foremost, not a surprise to me and certainly an outcome they had been fighting for. I would also expect Watermark to change, but perhaps it won't. Any ideas where Action fits in? Is that their full blown product or simple document routing?
