P.M.,

per AMG data, over $19 Billion rotated into money market week ending 8/5/98. Wall Street brokers need to do heavy promotion to get that money back in equities again.

Never heard of this company before, but here are some key points from their report:

Reuben Richards, President and Chief Executive Officer of EMCORE, stated, ''As we reported in July, this quarter's performance was impacted by the suspension of orders as a result of the GM strike, delays in the timing of certain orders for materials and devices and continued weakness in Asia. We expect to resume shipments to GM as early as next week and as we announced on July 10, we have received 11 new orders for TurboDisc MOCVD systems. This starts off our fourth quarter with an acceleration of bookings for capital equipment. As of today, our backlog of $28.6 million, an increase of 100% since March 31, 1998, is an encouraging sign that business is moving back on course, particularly since much of the new business came from Asia.''
