re I don't know if I agree with you. Many CEO's make decisions that will give a short term boost to the stock, yet may perhaps hurt the company in the long run.

Eddie,

your statement is too true. Witness some of the mergers and golden parachute clauses. However, in the case of DELL, where Michael holds such a high percentage of the stock, anything that hurts the company long or short term is against his interest. And he has proven that he knows how to manage the company for the long term.
