Michael,without digging to deep as in the facts are buried in past posts ACER wants to do appliance pc's in a big way and also they are staying in the semi mfg business for the long haul . Here is a chance for them to get a new fab etc. along with some very good ip that does fit there goal of moving away from dram IDTI has some very good com and logic and mips risc products....it really also goes back to the early 90's and the deal they did with ti on dram mfg back then it was called counter cyclical investing and made em both tons of money .... build your capacity when the market is down so you are ready with capacity for the upturn.Now is the time to pick up IDTI on the cheap....there are lots of stock holders who will jump at a decent exit price.....and this really is the question not who or if but how much.
