Joe, Your explanation is somewhat accurate. The reason that some people are able to reach the site is because the name servers that they use still have a cached entry for www.fntn.com. However, when the cache expires and the name server tries to retrieve the entry it will fail. The problem now lies between FNTN and PYRAMID.COM which are the two critical steps in propogating DNS in this case. Without that working it will never propogate.
