It seems to me, that all this recent movement is total speculation that demand is turning up. Does anyone have any concrete evidence that this is so? If the economy is slowing, does that bode well for PC demand? If consumers are going toward the sub $1000 PC, how does that help MU? It would seem to make the current problem worse not better. More and more price cuts, continuing margin squeeze on everyone involved. Unless there is evidence that demand is shifting to more high end machines, the result has to be a continuing price war. So chip prices have come up a bit - is that really worth a 75% increase in share price? Seems that come the end of this month the glaring truth will reassert itself.

Any comments on these fundamental ideas? I am not really interested in MU's price tomorrow. More trying to get a handle on what is really happening versus what everyone thinks is happening.

Thanks,

Peter

phbolton--

i dont know what the deal is. to be honest, i dont doubt a price upswing. what i doubt is that it is substantial, and that it will be of long duration.

here again, for most of the bulls assumptions about MU to be true...the price of PC100 parts can NOT drop between now and november.

lets be honest...that isnt going to happen.

good luck to all,
trey
