Elmer & Intel Investors - Here's a rather upbeat article on the outlook for semiconductor manufacturers.

It isn't written by Tom Kurlak, but it still makes interesting reading.

Here's an excerpt:

Manufacturers who stay the course during the present
downturn will be in the best position to take advantage of the
upturn, the report suggests.

"Companies like Intel and IBM will stand out for having
continued to invest during the downturn and will reap the
benefits of existing capacity on line to meet customer
demands, when some competitors will be unable to do so,"

the report concludes.

Could Intel be readying a 133mhz FSB chipset for highend servers?

Elmer, that Xeon 450 MHz, 2 MB cache chipset, or whatever, bug story from last night appears to have been pulled off the news. I saw it last night on YAHOO!FINANCE news. Yahoo is all 8/7 stories now, but when I first looked this morning, it had stories that had come up yesterday before the Xeon one. It was still gone when I looked then. It doesn't show up on Quicken or Lycos INTC news either, even if I go back to yesterday afternoon. Anybody know what's going on? Is John Hull still reading? If so, could you please answer this one? Heck, I'm even a customer for the chip, chipset, etc. in question.
