Question to anyone (and everyone): at what price would you BUY CREAF tomorrow? That is, what is the most you would pay for it, assuming you had money to invest (which after the recent weeks may be a lot less)?

Second question, would you put in the bid tomorrow at the open or wait a few days?

Book value more like US$6.70. I think the US$9 was an error.

On another note, there has been a quasi-sharebuyback in Singapore this week by the newspaper monopoly Singapore Press Holdings (publishes all 10 local dailies/weeklies - howzat for generating a creative society?). Anyway it was a share reduction with a special dividend - only problem is the receipient gets to pay tax. The chairman expressed some frustration at the speed things were going on the legal side of things. Yup, don't I agree. If this country can't even get the simple things done quick, how in the world is it going to get to the rocket science stage?

The other monoliths are also looking at something similar. Singapore Telecoms has also expressed doing a similar thing. I think that's what Sim had in mind. Or maybe he knows something we don't (i.e. the government is actually going to pass the buybacks mechanism faster than expected?).
