Kurt,

You could go to B.B. Kings Blues Club and Restaurant, which is at 143 Beale St. However, regarding Memphis today, the thrill is gone.

Best,
Charliss

Kurt, or anyone with an answer,

About six or seven years ago, a recording was made called "Jukebox Jazz," a very innovative collection of original music composed and played by someone whose first name was Sandy, I think...a man named Sandy.

I first heard this music when he was interviewed on NPR. I just loved this amazing and refreshing synthesis of "music past" that he had achieved with this album. Unfortunately, at that time music stores seemed to carry only a small and temporary inventory of this album, and I was never able to find it.

Anyone remember this?

Thanks,
Charliss (wearing her wind up musical bunny slippers with the tiny flashing neon lights wired into the long floppy bunny ears)

My favorite place in Memphis is the Peabody Hotel. It's a few blocks from Beale Street. Make sure you see the parade of the ducks (you'll find out what that means if you go there).

Dear Kurt,

As you requested, we are trying to give you ideas for your trip to Memphis.

I found this advertisement, which you might think is interesting:

Pink Guitar Escort Service...tour Memphis night life with one of our beautiful and congenial escorts as your guiding companion. In contrast to the drab and commonplace offerings of other, ordinary escort/model services, our lovely young ladies of Memphis are enticingly attired in nostalgic fashion that recalls the wanton and reckless look of Elvis groupies of the past. Professional escort scenarios include: the Ford Galaxy 500 Convertible Special; Romance On The Lawn, A Graceland After Hours Garden Party; Pick Me Up At The Concert; and more...Visa, MC, Discover.
