And just for your enlightenment, it is equally possible
to run K6 at 66x5 = 333MHz, for economical reasons
(or parts reuse/availability etc...). So, please
shave off a bit of your self-induced opinion about
your superior intelligence, and better go woodworking...

Just to settle this once and for all: THE ABOVE STATEMENT IS COMPLETELY FALSE.

As you can see, the new IBM K6-2 w/3DNow based IBM E3N has a 100 MHz front side bus.
