What device did you recently install
iosubsys errors are usually related to multimedia device installations.
If Windows will start
Run a scandisk with Automatically Fix Errors checked. If you recently had a hang on your machine an I/O driver file may be corrupt. If the scandisk is ok, and you haven't recently installed any devices, you may have to run setup.exe again, do this from inside Windows, not outside.
If Windows will not start, use the F8 key when you see Starting Windows 95, right before the first splash on startup, you only see it for about a second. This will bring up the Start Menu.
Select Safe Mode Command Prompt Only (#6???)
When you get to the prompt, run the Dos Scandisk.
If no errors are found and Windows will not start, you will have to run setup.exe from Dos. This will destroy your desktop settings, personalized settings etc. Before you do this you may want to copy the desktop subdirectory from Windows to another location as a guide to rebuilding your settings.
