Rocky Mountain Internet Names Jeremy Black to Vice President and
General Manager of Infohiway

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 7, 1998--Rocky Mountain Internet Inc. (NASDAQ SmallCap Market: RMII,
RMIIW) announced today it has appointed Jeremy Black to the position of vice president and general manager of Infohiway.

"Jeremy brings a wealth of expertise to Rocky Mountain Internet and will play a key role in making Infohiway a marquee
product for RMI," said Douglas H. Hanson, chairman, president and CEO of RMI.

Jeremy Black is the former CEO of Infohiway, a Denver-based search engine acquired by RMI in June 1998. As vice
president and general manager of Infohiway, he will direct all activities related to corporate Web site consulting. Previously,
Black served as president of Advanced Investment Software and executive vice president for Wilson Associates International,
also a software firm. He has lectured at a number of colleges as an adjunct professor, and he is a sought-after speaker on
Internet and financial topics.
