Mark,
They only commented on drive sales because they had singled them out a month ago when the stock got clipped as being the only part of their business where sales were below plan. They singled them out this time because, they claimed, they were above plan for July. CHSE is a large distributor of electronics equipment; they have no stores in the US. They are currently the largest distributor in Europe, and also have outlets in South America and Asia. I don't know if they are primarily desktop oriented or not.

As for high end, my main source of info is the Web, especially SI.

Hi Mark,
CHSE as I sure are aware is one of the world leading distributors of hardware. Their CEO is renown for being verbally volatile. He singley pointed to slow moving stocks of WDC and QNTM products about 8 weeks ago. As I follow both QNTM and CHSE (amongst others) I took his comments to heart and got out of QNTM AT 23+. Being who and where CHSE is, one must take any such comments as prime early warning info. I posted a similar posting when Claudio made these remarks at the time.
