<< McGinn (LU CEO) just interviewed on CNBC. Asked about ASND acquisition of SRA. Said it was an "astute" and "very good" move especially given spin-off of other assets. He said SRA had "hidden jewel" of SS7 and fault tolerant switching. >> djane, I read this as an overture for ASND's acquisition in Oct. G. W.

He basically evaded the question, but said they would do so where it was strategic and financially sound.>> Actually, what I heard was that the "pooling of interest" open door as of 10/1 was of no particular consequence to LU. As you mentioned, McGinn further stated that LU would do any kind of acquisition when it made sense. I agree that he was somewhat evasive, but who could blame the guy? Liked what he said about the SRA acquisition.
