PFE has had a long runup over the last year and is taking a breather. There is nothing recent in the news that would adversely affect the stock price and the future looks bright. In spite of the action of the other big Pharma companies(actually WLA and JNJ are down this morning), holding PFE for the long haul will pay great rewards. People looking for short term trading opportunities may have been rewarded in and around the approval of Viagra, but typically, there are much better stocks out there for the short term trader. This stock is a "buy and hold"...don't sweat the small drops. Regards, Dave

". ======================================================= Here what is going on zurdo, all IMHO of course: Investors " in the know ", are beginning to put together a certain unfavorable picture: 1)Viagra is too expensive: a) the cost of the drug itself is the least consideration. b) more important is the cost of diagnosing, treating and follow up of coronary artery disease ( CAD ) needed " to make Viagra safe " as per drug insert. CAD is the No 1 killer in Western World. 2) Thus, Insurance companies and Governments won't cover it; --> lower sales than expected. 3) litigation to physicians, Insurances/HMOs. 4) Pfizer itself is open to direct litigation because it's Phase III trials were designed to obscure the true dangers of the drug: only 20 patients taking Nitroglycerin were allowed in the study out of a total of 4000 ( 0.5 % ): this is not representative of the No of patients either taking or needing to take Nitro in the ED population. The true figure is probably anywhere from 10 to 20 % IMHO. Thus a lot of patients will be alleged in court, " thought the drug was safe " ,took it and proceeded to die or have a heart attack or stroke. 5) sales rate of growth is decreasing in the US. 6) we are at 39 deaths in only 4 months. ( plus another ~ 70 " suspected " ). Join the dots............ TA I will elaborate further on the above post ( and ensuing discussion ) in the future. Been too busy lately to get on the web.
