good series of recent posts.

Regarding IMF, I think they are inconsequential because they are out of money and out of credibility. Aside from some minor billion here billion there moves, they don't have the ability to do a mega billion deal like they did with Korea, Thailand and Indonesia.

Regarding a run on HK$, should we be more concerned with a run on the yen? The FSA is doing some audits now with dirty laundry scheduled to be aired next month. I think their equivalent of FDIC insurance is about US$75,000 (not sure, correct me if wrong). Wouldn't you be taking your yen out if your bank is discovered to be insolvent?
