But I do object to having different laws for different people. As a matter of fact i object to all complex laws and stupid laws (are'nt most of them). But society being composed of many people of many beliefs and prejudices, stupidity is bound to be a part of the laws.

Yes, You are probably right. Mormons still bitterly remember when Joseph Smith, a native New Yorker( palmyra NY)who was forced to move for his beliefs and in Carthage ILL, established his church. He was jailed and killed for his beliefs along with his brother. The fellow Mormons were driven out, some were murdered, their church, 20,000 homes and properties were destroyed and or burnt in 1840s.
