You got the MAs, pham, because they are in the layout subdir.
Save and restore the registry settings will do the trick.
Search for 'quotes plus' in regedit to find the 'Display Charts | Initial' hive, export it, then restore it to the other machine .

pham, Is everything working OK other than losing your chart setup that you had before moving?

I have been successful just moving DISKBUFF and DATA from one machine to another but have not tried to move the PROG file directory. I would just reinstall programs to the new machine rather than trying
to move that particular directory.

"Instead of reinstall programs and datas, which are not recommended
by technical support due to data disks is older than 6 wks"

I think you have misunderstood what in affected by the 6 wks. You need only be concerned with your data files as the diskbuff and program files can be reloaded from the CD's.

Again, worry about protecting your QP2data Directory ...not QP2prog and QP2diskbuff directory.

Pham,

I have moved Quotes Plus as you described many times. Chart setups are half in a file in the qp2data setup dir and half in the registry so they need to be re-setup. Don't think I have seen the problem of the layouts not saving...
