No, my average basis is not $2. However, a large part of my portfolio was purchased in 1991/1992. I know 2 to 3 years might be long time for a young sappling such as yourself, but some other people have been doing this trading thing for a while now.

If I recall CPQ tanked from $70 to roughly $20 back in 1991. I bought at $29 3/8 if my memory serves me correct. I know you probably don't have your calculator handy; thus you can't do simple multiplication, but $2 to $35 is not 600%.
