Now there's an order on Island at 12 191/256!

Can we place orders like this?

Jon,
Please make suggestions where not accurate?

Datek only allows fractions to 1/32 on Nasdaq stocks.... therefore we can't post to Island in smaller fractions. Other brokerages, not retail Datek accounts, are posting to Island at 1/256 on occasion. I believe these smaller fractions are only seen locally?

Any Nasdaq stock to $10.00/share will be reflected world-wide if 1/32 or larger and if best price. Over $10.00... only if best bid/ask to 1/16's. Any bid/asks smaller than 1/32 would be shown ONLY to traders accessing ISLD directly?

Island being a ECN is always the LAST out on any market order... all other MM's in the universe get executed BEFORE an ECN? Nasdaq rules?

Probably why Datek has a tough time getting market orders executed - Nasdaq is discriminating against ECN's to protect and bias their own turf?
