I just reread the article about the Kyle Law proposal that prohibits citizens from making online bets. I guess the enforceability of such a law is roughly equal to a "prohibition" of drinking alcohol during the 20's. That law also ended in a disaster requiring a constitutional amendment. I don't think our lawmakers will ever go through that again. When the public is determined to engage in their own form of vice, whether it be gambling, drinking, making moonshine or visiting a local chicken ranch, no law is going to stop them.
They can only do the next best thing - tax and regulate.
