Name one x86 CPU shipping today that doesn't have MMX?

Look at the software titles in stores - there are several hundreds that support MMX .

If you haven't recognized this by now, you truly are blind.

As for 50% performance increase, that number is probably at the very high end - but it makes MMX more worthwhile than spending extra money for a 333 MHz K6-2 as opposed to a 300 MHz K6-2.

And the MMX is free.
