We surveyed all the S&P sectors in an effort to uncover those areas and stocks that look most attractive during this volatile period. We took this bottom-up approach, emphasizing only those issues within certain groups that appear most attractive:

The reactions to my comments were indeed swift-and now the question remains: What areas or stocks do I think will best suit this new environment? In my quest to answer this query, I took a bottoms up approach to my sector work; instead of looking at only the industry averages, I reviewed all of the component stocks within each of the S&P industries. The following are the sectors and the most attractive stocks within these groups:
