Yeah, why make it simple when you can make a living confusing things.
What about all the 7 days crashes, 5 days crashes a.s.o. - What about rebounce speed - Give me a break - well a half - for a half analysis.

DOW is outdated - All investment players need to diversify further - Really too much money laying around for investing when anyone is prepared to pay 160$ for 1 dollars earnings - or 5-50 times the actual shared value bought.

Of course they are in for a correction. Such prices are NON SENSE.

S&P the same, only not so big multipliers.

Take a minute thinking about how it would improve general economy if all that excess investment amounts were spread on 4,000 to 10,000 corporations rather that a few hundred.

yaya - Then something else must happen too - Enhanced control systems to prevent pouring fund into fraud - Would that really be a problem today? - IMO NO - In addition it would be a great improvement for the individual investors too.

Actual present way blue-league-investing community lures the individual investors into "betting"/overpaying on/for MSFT and alike is as bad as any scam.

Sorry got wound up here - You see if work after the kiss (Keep It Simple Stupid) - You see a company that has a mission you invest, applying that 10-100% additional capital needed, and at the end of the day you get a return based on increased value in the company - applying values of 500 to 5000% on perfectly healthy business, is just spoiling them and creating basis for excessive spending which at the end of the day will harm both the economic and ecologic systems.

----
Short version -
a) Stop measuring on a few hundred companies and hoax us with that.
b) Create systems for improved diversification.

All in my humble opinion.
Jens

<<<and it is hard to see where double digit growth can be expected going into the second half of 1998 or 1999. >>>

Just stay short the market. Working for me...
