Retraction fromParagon Online:

>>Psygnosis Retraction

Contrary to industry speculation reported by
Paragon Online on 4 August, Psygnosis will not
release a statement regarding a merger with Eidos
Interactive.

"Psygnosis is aware of the speculation,"
said Psygnosis's Glen O'Connell, "but
this has not changed our position as a
company. Even though we remain
dedicated to the PlayStation, Psygnosis
is a multi-format publisher and is looking to build our
PC market as well considering business on other
formats."

O'Connell also stressed that if any decision were to
be made regarding a merger, it would be made by
Sony. The official line is that the Liverpool-based
publisher is currently focusing on their pre-Christmas
products, including Formula 1 '98 for the
PlayStation, and their first Nintendo 64 title,
Wipeout 64. Paragon Online would like to apologise
to Psygnosis for any distress caused as a result of
the inaccurate report<<
