Why not solve a couple problems at the same time.. Send one plane...no risk of American or other "allies" lives.. And blow a hole in the Iraqi pipeline... Immediately takes 1.8mm bpd off the market...and sends a message that "all is not forgiven" and reminds a certain individual that he did lose the war... To sit back and be a kinder, gentler U.N...is a joke. We no longer have any support in the UN...that was proven earlier this year. To sit back and let Saddam dictate how events will unfold makes us the laughing stock of the world. I sincerely doubt eliminating Iraqi oil from the world market would be terribly upsetting to the Saudis or Iranians...sure they'd scream...but I'm sure they'd get over it as soon as they saw the reaction to crude on the spot market....
