Thanks LOD.. That system is very close to the one I referred sans monitor. W/monitor equivalent price I suspect. Does Dell still charge you for shipping? I know they used to get about $200 for it which is not included in the list price. The point is however that this machine will be offered for less than $1000 soon. Will Dell not offer it below that level simply because it crossed that threshold? At the same time this same machine will still be meeting the needs of 90% or more of the home users. IMO it will leave little choice for Dell if Dell chooses to continue to sell to the home user that they will be pulled into the sub 1000k market. What killer app out there is coming that would cause one to buy in mass the more expensive machine? Steve
