I understand there was an all-night meeting last night with the lenders who are five pension funds. It sounded like the funding is a done deal with the announcement to come next week. If there is a horse's mouth in this deal, then this is from it. I asked him if he was comfortable with Rene's statement that construction on Niagra and Oshawa would begin in September, and he replied that he thought it would start before that. I'm uneasy about mentioning this guy's name, but I can say that he was quite sleep-deprived when I spoke with him late this morning. The deal now is apparently for 44 mil. due to construction interest charges. I suspect that today's action was due to some beginning leakage at the epicenter. I can't vouch for any of this so buyer beware, but this is right from the smoke-filled room itself. Any other takes on today's action? Good luck. Dave C.
