Jim,

Childish! That's the word I was looking for.

In my experience, obviously longer than Jon R's, it would have impressed people well if he'd done something nice for me, but it has to impress people terribly that he chose to try to publicly insult me rather than resolve things with me.

You realize I'd have had to trade there to use that credit? I would probably have never used that credit even if they'd given it to me.

Sherri Smith, who promised to call me back by this afternoon, hasn't called yet. I'm sure our Jon R has ordered her not to call me, as part of his little persecution vendetta against me.

They don't realize, most people put themselves in my place. Would they want to deal with a broker who behaves like a 3 year old and is just as reliable? If I were reading the thread and saw Jon R's note, I'd shun that brokerage firm. It is just the wrong way to deal with a customer.

He could have given me a call, apologized for the chaos there, told me what was being done to make things more efficient, offered me the credit along with whatever "more" Fox intended, and then after he worked things out with me, logged on, apologized for the problems and offered everyone else a similar credit. THAT would have impressed positively. But what he did here would have left a very negative impresion on most traders. No one believes a customer should be treated as he has treated me in his public post and we all realize we're all customers just like me in many ways.

I called Customer Service at Brown a few minutes ago, got a quick and accurate and courteous response. We don't need brokers who run around thinking up petty ways to fight with us, we just need them to be businesslike.

PS: Have you had any thoughts about the identity of the mysterious Mr. Phelps?
