Some of us were around for the last biotech drubbing in 1992, 1993 and 1994. The bottom line is that, by and large, the investment community couldn't care less about scientific or clinical progress (except for short-term runups following the release of really significant news). The investment community is acutely aware of all of the things that can derail a new therapeutic before it gets to market, and the possibility of competition if it ever does. THAT is the main reason why stocks like ISIP do not get the respect we think they deserve. Then add the fact that sort-sellers just love this sector.

Earnings or the near-term prospect of earnings, or a buyout (which seldom happens in this sector), are the ONLY things that will propel the stock price upward. Following these stocks on a day-to-day basis and trying to make sense out of it is like following a baseball game pitch-by-pitch and trying to decide who's going to win the World Series. We should all relax and gain confidence from the fact that ISIP's science is phenomenal.

I subscribe to MTSL, and I cannot tell you how tired I am of hearing them say every two weeks that the sector is due for a big rally. They don't know. No one knows. When it comes, it comes.
