Commerce Delays Ruling On Hyundai, LG Semicon DRAM Case
(2:30 p.m. EDT, 8/07/98)

The Commerce Department has delayed by one month its final ruling on the DRAM dumping case against Hyundai Electronics Industries Co. and LG Semicon Co. The decision, which had been previously postponed, is now set for any time up to Sept. 8. Commerce held a final hearing last month but the latest charges by Micron that Hyundai was also selling memory modules below cost wasn't addressed. Hyundai had been assessed preliminary dumping duties of 12.64% and LG Semicon 7.61% earlier this year.
