Amazon gained 5.9% on average volume but sold off recently on much higher volume. The volume during previous rallies was higher than average volume. Usually when a stock stages a major move the volume increases. Amazon.con has a beta of over 4.5 so you would expect that it will move up more strongly than the market if it is gaining momentum. Amazon did revisit the range where it went on 7/13. The chart has formed the bearish double top formation and the 20 day average has started trending down in a classic roll-over pattern.

I play both sides of price moves if I think the move will be pronounced enough, I don't care as long as I make money. I expect AMZN to continue an up trend for a couple more days and then trend back down, probably to base for a while.

Do what you like with your money. The volatility in Amazon.con allows making money on the way up and down. IMO the trend is heading down.

At the time of my post the market was back down but it soon moved higher. There was improved breath in the market with many under-valued growth stocks picking up nicely - more than Amazonisovervalued.com.
