Well Jay,So you say you made 50 bagger as a corporate insider. So what? First of all, I did not say I pulled a 50-bagger at Siebel as a corporate insider. I am not a corporate insider at Siebel, but if I was an initial investor I also would not have been a corporate insider. Investing in Siebel was an option for many and was an example of an excellent call imo. Otoh, a 3.x bagger in Sap, while good, is certainly not unique since so many leading stocks performed as well (Dell,Yhoo,AOL, etc - were talking big names here). Again it is not bad, but it is hardly something to pat yourself on the back about while criticizing another for poor judgement. If you want to gain respect, stick around and post some good information we can make money on. Personally I feel it is never a good idea to evaluate a company exclusive of its mkt. Don't you think you should be looking at the other companies in this space? Even if you see Sap as the gorilla here, a perusal of the other threads might be prudent, no? You see, I know you havent done that because I am the most active poster on SI in enterprise software. I didn't post to Sap in the past because of the listing issue. But instant credibility? Nah... Did I say I was looking for credibility of any kind from you or anybody here? No I didnt. But I expect you to argue with me on the merits of my post, not behave like a hysteric any time somebody says something mildly negative (You didn't do that I know). I dont want to come on to an enterprise sw thread, make a few points, and end up with 11 messages in my mailbox from people apologizing to me for you all, which was the case today. You should understand though that I have been in enterprise software for 10 years or so. I started as a director of Logistics R&D at Oracle. Katrina G. was there at that time. Lately I've been into SCM software and did some work at Dell - thats why the SCMs are my favorite stocks, its my business as an architectural consultant. Also most implementors of the economies of scale that SCM delivers have outperformed Sap as an investment lately (Dell,Amazon etc.). In the Silicon Valley venture capital arena, a 10 bagger is considered good, but ironically many big names have outperformed some of the hottest VCs lately. Michelle
